About US
FTLO Travel is a contemporary travel startup that designs and operates curated group trips for millennial professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs. We value authentic cultural experiences and meaningful connections with new people, places, and ideas. We are growing quickly and looking for a part-time Social Media Coordinator to join the team. Position is mostly remote so it would be perfect for someone who has other projects going on. LA-based candidates will be given preference.

The Assignment
The Social Media coordinator position is part time (15-20 hours/wk) and mostly remote (LA-based candidates preferred).

 

Duties

  • Help build and manage social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Linkedin)

  • Create and share branded content for all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest)

  • Create and manage sponsored posts on Instagram and Facebook

  • Monitor and respond to review sites (Facebook, Yelp, Google)

  • Social Media Reporting: track follower growth, engagement, etc.

  • Respond to all questions, comments, or requests that come in through social media channels and engage with our online community

  • Collect, edit, and organize content from trips

  • Oversee giveaways

  • Assist with new partnerships and affiliate programs with potential partners

  • Help manage relationships with key influencers

  • Help update website as needed

  • Assist with other projects as needed


Requirements

  • Passion for travel and exploring different cultures

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

  • 2+ years experience in social media strategy

  • 2+ years experience editing photos and creating content for social media channels

  • Excellent design sense

  • Fun, witty copywriting style

  • Video editing experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite or Canva

  • Working knowledge of google applications - Gmail, google docs, google sheets, etc.

  • Working knowledge of Canva, Planoly,

  • Experience with Facebook and Instagram advertising

  • Experience working with Slack and Basecamp project management tools (preferred)


Compensation
Between $15-$20/hr depending on experience
