FTLO grant program
At FTLO, we believe in one world, one community.
From our travelers, to trip leaders, to the local scuba divers, salsa dancers, culinary artists and every amazing person, family, and local business we work with in between - our global community is everything. With the severe impact that Covid-19 has had on the livelihood of those in the tourism industry, we have launched the FTLO Grant program to help provide aid for our neighbors in need around the world.
FTLO x COLOMBIA
As our first initiative, we partnered with a local music & arts school in Colombia, Batámbora, to provide meals to families in need.
Led by young people from La Boquilla, Batámbora is a cultural experience that rescues tradition through innovation by sharing and honoring their ancestral knowledge through performance arts.
FTLO Colombia Trip leader, Will, worked with our friends at Batámbora to purchase, package and hand deliver meals to over 100 families in the La Boquilla community.
Read on to learn about our various initiatives and how you can help support rebuilding communities in need.
Another way you can help is to plan a trip to visit the beautiful country of Colombia with us!
At FTLO, we believe in sustainable travel and partner with local small businesses to provide our travelers with the most authentic experience possible, while nurturing local global economies with tourism spend.
The FTLO Colombia trip has a little bit of everything: breathtaking beaches, volcanos, extensive cultural history, a thriving art scene, and some of the most incredible food.
Each hoodie sold provides 20 meals for a family of four in need. From the first round of hoodie sales alone, we were able to purchase and deliver a week's worth of meals to over 100+ families in La Boquilla, Colombia who have been severely impacted during this time.
Help us double this number for our next round by purchasing one here. (Pro tip: they make great gifts!)
Donate directly to help feed more families in need in Colombia.
Every donation can make a difference for someone who is short on essential resources and no longer able to provide food for their families due to the pandemic. Just $5 can feed a family of four for 2-3 days!
We're all in this together! Let's help one another out as best we can, in any way that we can, to ensure that at the end of the day we all have food on our tables and a roof over our heads.
