You’re an on the ball extravert with a super high EQ. You have a sixth sense for understanding group dynamics, human motivation, and how people are feeling, even just through messages. You’re responsive, smart, fantastic at problem solving, and enjoy making people feel at ease. You’re also available to respond to emails and messages at odd hours, especially in the evenings and on weekends.

About your role: 

Reporting to the Director of Experience, the Trip Coordinator acts as the point person for travelers with both of our brands - FTLO and Sojrn - starting one month prior to their departure and throughout their time on the trip. You oversee all group chats on WhatsApp, which is the main way travelers communicate with each other and their Trip Leader while traveling, as well as communications on our online hub, where the itinerary and related information is shared. You are the critical point of contact between travelers, the Trip Leader, and our operations teams, flagging problems internally while getting the travelers and TL whatever support they need, while constantly projecting your calm and positive attitude.

The role is fully remote, but you must be based in UTC, UTC+1, UTC+2, or UTC+3 time zones and legally authorized to work and be paid in your country of residence. It is a full-time position that will start as a 60-day part-time trial (20 hours/wk, $23/hr).

​

What you'll do:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for travelers leading up to and during their trip, answering questions and following up to get required pre-trip information

  • Oversee FTLO’s pre-departure hub platform, including creating and managing trip content, sending traveler invites, and responding to traveler inquiries

  • Oversee all FTLO trip and Sojrn Chapter group chats

    • Create chat groups for each trip/Chapter

    • Stay on top of communications between travelers, escalating urgent/complex matters in a timely manner

    • Own and manage FTLO HQ telephone

  • Support Trip Leaders and Hosts during trips, helping to solve any problems that may arise

  • Assist with Trip Leader and Chapter Host training, onboarding, and trip preparation

  • Flag, document, and aid in customer escalation cases

  • Review and assess traveler and Trip Leader/Host post-trip feedback, and participate in trip debriefs

Requirements:

  • Must be entrepreneurial-minded with strong problem solving skills.

  • Must be great with people and able to communicate with people from all backgrounds.

  • Must be an excellent communicator via email and phone.

  • Must be very prompt at responding - an always on type of person.

  • Must love travel and believe in the FTLO mission.

  • At least 2 years of work experience is required. If applicable, in your CV please explain what you achieved and why you left the role. 

  • Customer service experience preferred.

  • International travel experience preferred.

  • Based in UTC, UTC+1, UTC+2, or UTC+3 time zones and legally authorized to work and be paid in your country of residence.

This position does not require travel but opportunities to join trips may be awarded.
