New Product Planner

About you: 

You’re obsessed with travel and have the passport stamps to show it. Nothing makes you happier than putting together amazing itineraries for groups of people. You LOVE researching new destinations, finding hidden gems, and making sure all of the dots connect. You’re comfortable communicating with people from all cultures and don’t mind working the occasional odd hour to accommodate different time zones. You’re super organized, have an eye for details, and will always find a solution.

About your role: 

You’ll be joining a small team at the early stages of a company that helps people realize their travel dreams, whether that is working from a cafe in Paris or exploring the ancient ruins of Petra. Your role is to research, plan, and launch new FTLO trips and Sojrn Chapters.

Note: We are a remote working team and this is a remote position with international travel required. Ideally located in the following time zones: EST, GMT, CET

​

Here’s what you'll be doing:

  • Research new destinations for potential FTLO trips and Sojrn Chapters

  • Find options for accommodations, activities, transportation, trip leaders, local experts, etc.

  • Build out new itineraries for FTLO and Sojrn

  • Build relationships and negotiate contracts with potential suppliers

  • Strategically build out product mix and trip calendars

  • Oversee budgets and pricing for new trips and chapters

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to launch new trips/chapter and make sure they are marketed correctly

  • Put together quick reference guides for sales team

  • Complete due diligence on new local partners

  • Implement new ideas into existing trips to improve the quality

  • Attend travel conferences to source new partners

  • Work closely with Head of Experience to design the best travel experience possible

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:​

  • Must be entrepreneurial-minded with strong problem solving skills

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized

  • Must be an excellent communicator via email and phone

  • Must love travel and the ethos behind FTLO and Sojrn

  • Must be comfortable with spreadsheets and basic business math

  • Have an eye for trends and new destinations

  • Experience of living/working abroad remotely is beneficial but not mandatory

  • Group travel planning experience highly preferred

  • Start-up experience is preferred but not mandatory

At least 6 years of work experience is required, preferably in a similar role. If applicable, in your CV please explain what you achieved and why you left the role for each job.

Employment type: Full-time, with 90 day trial period

Salary: between $60k and $75k depending on experience

​
