Day 1 - Amman, Jordan

Day 2 - Wadi Mujib
River + SEa

Kick off the day with a visit to the Amman Citadel and Roman theatre, before checking out a nearby local cafe.

Today you’ll also visit Wadi Mujib, a 43-mile river canyon that stretches through towns and mountains all the way to the Dead Sea. Trek through the water with your crew, beneath picturesque towering canyons.

In the evening, you’ll go for an unforgettable swim in the Dead Sea with amazing views and a beautiful sunset.

*Note: Wadi Mujib is closed from November 1st - March 31st, during which the crew will adventure through another popular canyon nearby.

Day 3 - Petra

Fuel up on breakfast at the hotel before heading out with your group to Dana Nature Reserve, where you’ll hike to take in beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and canyons.

Enjoy a local lunch before going on to the next site: Shoubak Castle, perched on a mountain with panoramic views.

In the evening, you’ll head to Petra to check in to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free.

Day 4 - Petra
Iconic Petra

Today you’ll get to channel your inner Indiana Jones while exploring Petra!

This amazing place is massive, so be prepared to get your step count up. In the morning, you’ll learn the fascinating history of Petra and enjoy a catered lunch with the locals.

The afternoon is free to do some exploring on your own. Pack some water and get lost in this amazing natural playground.

In the evening, you’ll get to experience the incredible Petra by Night. Though bars are few and far between in Jordan, we know a secret spot to grab a cold beer in the desert.

Day 5 - Wadi Rum

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out to the valley of Wadi Rum for striking views of Jordan’s unique desert landscape.

We’ll have a desert lunch with the crew before jumping into the back of a jeep to explore the beautiful sites of the desert! (Please note: desert jeeps do not have seat belts.)

Watch the sunset over the desert at a nearby viewpoint or relax at the camp.

That evening, we'll have the opportunity to stay in some very unique accommodations :)

*Please note: accommodations may vary for each trip, depending on the time of year and availability.

Day 6 - Amman

Wake up early for an unforgettable camel ride to watch the sunrise.

After, we’ll head back to Amman on a six-hour drive. Once we arrive in the early afternoon, the day is yours to enjoy.

We’ll regroup in the late evening for one final dinner together.

Day 7 - Amman

Sadly, it is our last morning in Jordan.

Share a farewell breakfast with the group before everyone goes their separate ways.

Just for Fun

Indiana Jones, The Martian, and Star Wars were all filmed in Jordan.

The dead sea is the lowest place on land on the whole planet (1400ft below sea level).

There are more than 800 carved tombs in Petra.

Trip notes

  • Book your flights into and out of Amman.

  • This trip will require lots of walking and movement, compared to other FTLO trips. We recommend this trip for adventurers and those who are comfortable walking for several hours at a time.

  • During the summer, Jordan can get very hot (100 °F), and during the winter, very cold for U.S. west coast standards (40°F.).

  • Expect lots of outdoor adventure, wandering and walking.

  • Alcohol is hard to access and expensive in Jordan. We recommend purchasing duty free beforehand, if you're interested.

Jordan hosts some of the world's superlatives when it comes to natural landscapes and ancient ruins. The dead sea, rivers and canyons, deserts and dunes, and ancient sandstone cliffs that run through the country's entire length are just a few of the outstanding natural spaces that define this natural wonder. And you'll get to experience all of these unique environments on this 7-day excursion.

Because of its unique culture and striking outdoors, Jordan has long been a sought-out destination for culture-seekers, foodies and adventurous travelers alike.
