WHAT TO EXPECT
Croatia is like that effortlessly cool friend—always down for a good time, knows all the hidden spots, and somehow makes every day feel like summer. Think: crystal-clear waters, medieval stone towns, epic sunsets, and yes—party boats that go off.
This group trip is built for 20- and 30-somethings who want more out of their summer. We’re talking island hopping along the Adriatic, golden-hour swims, and beach days that turn into dance-all-night kind of nights.
You’ll explore ancient cities like Dubrovnik and Split (Game of Thrones fans, get ready), chase waterfalls at Krka National Park, and indulge in fresh-off-the-boat seafood with a group of like-minded solo travelers who are here for the same reason you are—to make new memories and new friends.

Day 1 - Split, Croatia
ADRIATIC DREAMS
If this is your first time exploring the Croatian coastline—get ready. There’s a reason it tops so many travelers’ all-time favorite lists. With cobblestone streets, sea-to-table cuisine, and crystal-clear waters, Split is the perfect place to kick off your adventure.
One of the best parts of traveling with FTLO is that everything’s taken care of once you land. So in the afternoon, you’ll meet your FTLO crew—fellow solo travelers from across the U.S. (and sometimes beyond)—and head out on a guided walking tour of Split, led by a local who’ll give you the inside scoop on this ancient city.
Afterward, we’ll wrap up the day with our first dinner together, indulging in a few of Croatia’s most beloved dishes. (And yes, we’ll be SPLITting plates. 😂)

Day 2 - Split, Croatia
WATERFALLS + WINE
Grab your bikini, swim trunks, and sunscreen—it’s only Day 2, but we’re already diving into one of the most breathtaking spots in Croatia: Krka National Park. With its turquoise pools and lush, winding trails, today’s your chance to see just how diverse and stunning Croatia’s natural landscapes really are.
We’ll kick things off with a scenic hike through the park, where you’ll catch glimpses of Krka’s iconic seven waterfalls—and maybe even stumble upon a hidden grotto, perfect for a refreshing dip. It’s the kind of day that feels straight out of a summer dream.
There’s just something about chasing waterfalls that calls for a celebratory sip. So, we’ll wrap things up with a visit to a family-owned winery, where you’ll wander through the vines and toast your first glass of Croatian wine—surrounded by new friends.

Day 3 - Split / Hvar, Croatia
ISLAND VIBES + STARLIT NIGHTS
This morning, we’ll say goodbye to Split and set sail for the glamorous island of Hvar—an Adriatic jewel known for its sparkling marina, chic beach clubs, and nightlife that attracts the rich and famous.
After checking in, we’ll head straight to the coast. Picture this: soft sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a tropical cocktail in hand. Whether you’re diving in for a swim or lounging by the shore, this is your day to soak up paradise.
As the sun begins to set, the energy shifts. The beach club we’re headed to is known for turning up the music and keeping the party going well into the night. We’ve left the rest of the evening free so you can dance barefoot in the sand, sip rosé under the stars, and kick off your first night in Hvar—your way.

Day 4 - Hvar, Croatia
I'm on a boat
Croatia is world-famous for sailing—and today, you’ll see exactly why. We’re heading out on a private boat to explore the Adriatic’s dreamy coastline, dipping into hidden coves and sea caves. With the sun high in the sky and the salt in your hair, this is the kind of day that defines Mediterranean magic.
The local crew is a big part of the island’s sailing culture—they’ll keep the good vibes flowing with plenty of jokes, great music, and a cocktail that just hits different when you’re floating on the sea. We’ll anchor for a swim and enjoy a fresh, locally inspired lunch onboard before heading back to land.
The rest of the night is yours to explore—whether you’re up for chasing live music, grabbing drinks with your travel crew, or just stargazing by the water.

Day 5 - Hvar / Dubrovnik, Croatia
Down to DUBROVNIK
Known for its stunning salmon-colored rooftops, medieval city walls, and ancient architecture, Dubrovnik is our third and final stop on this epic journey.
After we transfer from Hvar, we’ll have a few hours to explore this beautiful city. Then, we’ll all come together for a mouth-watering dinner at a renowned local restaurant. Think fresh seafood, aromatic olive oil, and a glass of wine to toast to the memories you’ve already made—and the many more to come.
Whether you choose to call it an early night, relaxing to the sounds of the sea, or decide to soak up Dubrovnik’s lively nightlife, tonight is yours to enjoy. Just don’t forget to set an alarm for tomorrow morning—we highly recommend catching the sunrise over the stunning Croatian coastline.

Day 6 - Dubrovnik, Croatia
HITTIN THE STREETS
Trust us—after visiting some of the most amazing destinations around the world, Dubrovnik still ranks near the top. This place is so breathtakingly beautiful, it almost doesn’t feel real. But yes, Dubrovnik does exist, and it’s even more stunning in person than any picture could capture.
We’ll head out on a guided tour of Dubrovnik’s historic sites, where we’ll meet a local who’ll share their deep knowledge of Croatian and Dalmatian history, revealing the fascinating stories behind the city’s ancient walls.
Then, it’s time for one of the trip's most unforgettable experiences: a visit to Lokrum Island. For the Game of Thrones fans out there—this is the spot where some of the most iconic scenes from the show were filmed.

Day 7 - Dubrovnik, Croatia
ONE LAST SUNSET
Sadly, today marks our final full day in this little patch of perfection called Croatia. By now, the group has started to feel more like a family—full of inside jokes, shared sunsets, and a camera roll packed with laughter.
Spend the afternoon soaking in those final rays of the Croatian sun together. Whether you dive into the Adriatic one more time or settle in for a long, leisurely lunch, make it count. One thing’s for certain: a strong coffee to fuel your evening is a must.
Tonight, we’ll come together one last time for a farewell dinner to remember. Expect the sights, smells, and flavors that define this Mediterranean dream—served with a side of nostalgic memories, big hugs, and maybe even a few tears. Although, it’s never really goodbye—just see you on the next adventure. ❤️
Day 8 - Dubrovnik, Croatia
UNTIL NEXT TIME
As one European escapade ends, it’s only natural to already be dreaming about the next one (trust us—we get it, we’re the same way).
If you’re looking to keep the adventure going this summer, why not hop on another trip? (Pro tip: we offer back-to-back discounts to help you make the most of your time abroad.) Some recs: Greek Islands for more sun-soaked days and island hopping across the Mediterranean or Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm for checking three dreamy countries off your list in one go!
Wherever you go next, we’re just happy to be a part of your journey. Whether this was your first FTLO trip or one of many, we hope you leave with new friendships, lifelong memories, and that spark to keep exploring the world—with us or on your own. See you out there. ✈️
