Your Questions Answered ABOUT FTLO BOOKING LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS TRIP PREP ON A TRIP HEALTH ON TRIPS READ REVIEWS Covid FAQs Health on Trips FAQs What is the Health Decla ration Form? Am I required to take a Covid test or be vaccinated against Covid before joining a trip? What happens if I get sick/Covid while on a trip? What is your refund policy if I get sick before the trip and cancel? Will my insurance cover me if I get Covid while I am on the trip? Your health is our highest priority throughout the entirety of your trip. While we have turned a corner from the worst of Covid, the virus continues to evolve and spread. We are constantly monitoring and adapting to the situation and we will do everything within our power to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable, and fun trip with FTLO. 1. What is the Health Declaration Form? While FTLO no longer requires travelers to test negative for Covid before a trip, we do ask all travelers to fill out the Health Declaration Form , the goal of which is to help us as we try to ensure a healthy environment not only for our travelers but also for our Trip Leaders and the local communities visited. The Health Declaration Form asks you to acknowledge that you are not currently exhibiting symptoms of illness and that you recognize the potential for contracting an illness while traveling. It states that you have not been exposed to Covid or Influenza recently nor exhibited any symptoms that are typically associated with them. We encourage you to read the Health Declaration Form before booking and contact us with any questions you may have. Health Declaratio Form 2. Am I be required to take a Covid test or be vaccinated against Covid before joining a trip? As of July 1st, 2023, FTLO no longer requires travelers to take Covid tests before their trips begin, nor do we require travelers to be vaccinated against Covid. Please check each trip page on our website for specific requirements in the "Trip Notes" section. As vaccinations are no longer required, we can’t guarantee that your roommate will be vaccinated. If this is of concern to you, you may consider booking a single room for the duration of your trip. Please note: in certain destinations, while a vaccine may not be required for entry, it may be required to participate in certain activities. We will try to offer alternatives to the best of our ability but cannot make guarantees and cannot provide refunds for any activities you are unable to participate in because of your vaccination status. Covid Test and Vaccine 3. What happens if I get sick/Covid while on a trip? While no longer considered a serious threat in most countries, Covid still exists, and there is a chance that you could contract it during your trip, just as it’s possible you may catch the flu or another contagious virus. If you do get sick during your trip, we ask that you be respectful of your fellow travelers and do what you can to prevent them from also getting sick. This may include turning away when you sneeze, not sharing food or silverware, wearing a mask, and practicing regular hand hygiene (washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available). Failure to take the necessary precautions may result in you being asked to leave the trip. If you become seriously ill while on a trip, your trip leader will work with FTLO HQ and Global Rescue to get you the proper medical care. Depending on the local regulations, you may be required to quarantine at a hotel if you test positive for COVID-19. We will do our best to assist you with this process and provide whatever documentation is required by your travel insurance provider. While we cannot guarantee a certain accommodation or length of stay if you fall ill, we do want to stress again that we will do absolutely everything we can to support you even if you are unable to continue the trip. Although we are not currently offering refunds for missed activities, hotel changes, or early departures, we will help you put together whatever documentation is needed to request compensation from your travel insurance. Covid on a Trip Refund Policy 4. What is your refund policy if I get sick before the trip and cancel? If you cancel a trip before departure, our regular cancelation terms apply. We will help you put together whatever documentation is needed to request compensation from your travel insurance. We recommend purchasing a policy that covers Covid-related cancellations (not all of them do). 5. Will my insurance cover me if I get Covid while I am on the trip? We require that all travelers purchase travel insurance. Make sure that you double-check with your provider and carefully read your policy before purchasing to understand exactly what is covered, as all policies are different. We still recommend purchasing a policy that covers Covid-related cancellations (not all of them do). Insurance Coverage It's Time for an adventure GET STARTED

Congrats, you made it to Scandinavia! That evening, we’ll roll to a nearby rooftop bar for welcome drinks with the crew. Take in the view; this is one of Europe’s most unique capitals—a place where modern glass towers come face to face with a thousand years of history. After unwinding with new friends, we’ll mosey on over to our welcome dinner, and you’ll dive right into your first Norwegian eats. Velkommen! Day 2 - Oslo Nordic Delights Wake up and grab some grub at the hotel before we head out for a day of Oslo exploration. Today, we’re checking out the old, the new, and the delicious as we meet up with a local guide and trek off on a tour of the town that’s just as tasty as it is informative. You’ll sample some of the most delectable Nordic dishes as you learn the ins and outs of a city chock full of trendy cafes and exciting restaurants. Along the way, you’ll find more than a few modern marvels (hello opera house!) and discover why this is consistently ranked one of the most livable cities in the whole world. In the afternoon, we’ll head to the harbor for one outrageously steamy good time aboard a floating sauna, and then you can hit the town and cruise to the coolest bars around with new friends. Day by day devour Day 3 - Oslo, Stockholm Sights of sweden Get an early start this morning, we’re rolling out along one of our favorite romantic routes as we board the train from Oslo to Stockholm, so grab a coffee and soak up those oh-so-picturesque sights. We’ll get into the Swedish capital by mid-afternoon and make our way over to the hotel. Relax if you’d like, or hit the streets and check out the colorful cobbled streets of the charming old town for some historical fun. That evening, we’ll all get together to twist up some Scandinavian specialties at our own private cocktail-making class. Then grab dinner with friends and check out Stockholm’s vibrant nightlife. stroll Day 4 - Stockholm city of islands We've got a big day ahead of us, so toss on those walking shoes; we're starting our day on the cobbled streets of Gamla Stan. These medieval nooks and crannies are as cute as they come in Europe and are filled with history—some date to the 13th century. We'll grab a mid-morning Fika (Swedish coffee and snacks) with friends and then cruise over to one of Europe's best museums to check out the world's only intact 17th-century gunship. Kick back and relax in the afternoon or keep on exploring before we all meet up for a fantastic group dinner. dine Day 5 - Stockholm Waterfront Chillin’ The morning is free, but we recommend having breakfast like a local along the harbor and then strolling the waterfront to check out the view. Meet up with the rest of the crew in the middle of the day; we’re heading out on a cruise to get a whole new perspective on the 14 islands that make up this friendly capital. We’ll grab lunch together, and then the day is yours. If you’re up for it, grab a scooter and ride over to the ever so hip Södermalm to wander the streets of Stockholm’s answer to Brooklyn. Try to find dinner at one of the neighborhood’s chic spots before you hit the bars one last time in Sweden. Marvel Day 6 - Stockholm, Copenhagen Down to denmark We've got one more scenic Scandinavian ride in store for you today; we're hopping the train to Copenhagen. We'll get to our hotel in the afternoon, and then it's off for a sip of suds to welcome us to town. We're checking out one of the best breweries this colorful capital has to offer before dinner, so grab a few pints if you like. From there, we're heading to Tivoli Gardens, the oldest operating amusement park in the world and supposedly Walt Disney's inspiration for Disneyland. After some roller coaster madness, grab a bite with the crew and then see where the night takes you. PLAY Day 7 - Copenhagen Bike like a dane Wake up early for a full day of exploring on two wheels with a Danish guide to check out the city like only a local would. On our tour of these neoclassical streets, you’ll learn about the remarkable history of the nation and this city which grew from humble beginnings as a traditional Viking village in the 12th century. After poking around in the past and an introduction to the social progress of the present, head out and explore with friends on your own. The city’s harbor, parks, and palaces are easy to get around and a blast to explore. That night, we’ll all grab drinks and one final dinner together to celebrate an awesome week. BOOK! Day 8 - Copenhagen Farvel! And just like that you twisted through Scandinavia and three of the most iconic cities in Europe. Grab a final breakfast with friends before you head off. If you’ve got some more time, well then we’re jealous. Keep on trekking and discovering all this special place has to offer. Got a few more days to spare on the way home? Check out some unreal mountain views in Iceland with the FTLO crew. We’ll see you next time! "The road to a friend's house is never long." – Danish proverb FAST FACTS Fast facts Just for Fun Advertising to children under the age of 12 is illegal in Norway and Sweden. Denmark has more than twice as many bicycles (4.2 million) as cars (1.8 million). Sweden is a leading recycler, sending just 4 percent of its trash to landfills. In Norway, no one can disguise their earnings, as every citizen's tax returns are made available for everyone else in the country to inspect. Trip notes While we can’t guarantee private rooms, you sho uld book your trip earlier if you prefer one, as they usually fill up. The closest arrival airport is Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL). The closest departure airport is Copenhagen Airport - Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup (CPH). Though they are amazing, Scandinavian countries are known for being quite expensive. Average prices are much higher than most US cities. For example, in Oslo, a 5 mile taxi ride is around $20 and an average cocktail price at trendy bar is $16. On European trips, we stay as close to historic city centers as possible. This means your accommodations will often be on the small side, quirky, and unique (we love this!). Credit/debit cards are widely accepted in Scandinavia - in fact, some establishments will not accept cash and travelers can often get away with exclusively using a card in these countries. Just make sure that your card does not charge any foreign transaction fees as these can really add up! More information regarding visa requirements and Covid restrictions can be found here .
