This year, FTLO is headed to Scandinavia and we can't wait to indulge the local coffee scene. Here are some of our favorite spots, recommended for all coffee lovers, art admirers, and anyone who is looking for a unique place to hang out in.

Oslo

  • Cozy and eclectic, this bar and cafe is covered in colorful wall art and decorations. Whether you’re popping in for a beer or a latte, Angst is hardly moody and dark as it sounds. Snuggled between buildings and set away from the main streets, it’s the perfect find to capture that artsy pic.

  • If you appreciate good coffee and vinyl, this is the spot. Art, music and an homage to Jimi Hendrix himself, it’s a great spot to capture a Kodak moment while you peruse the old vinyl and sip on a nitro brew. It’s also been combined with the PS:Hotell, so it’s also a perfect overnight spot.

Copenhagen

  • La Banchina

  • By day, it’s a cafe with farm to table choices, fish dishes and natural wines, all enjoyable on the docks surrounded by boats and the beautiful waters of Denmark. Catch the sunset in the afternoon or come by for dinner for that perfect nighttime evening pic and enjoy the onsite sauna while you’re there.

  • At Cafe Norden, it’s the food itself that is photo-worthy. Intricate and delicately plated designs will make it hard not to eat the expertly crafted dishes before you. Stockholm

  • Rosendals Trädgård

  • If flora and nature are your aesthetic, Rosendals Tradgard garden will be a dream. Surrounded by the amazing gardens, support the farm to fork concept at the greenhouse cafe or artisanal bakery where much of the food is picked directly on the grounds.

  • Step into history in the vaults and prison cells of this underground cafe, which dates back to the 1300s. Get a traditional meal or a pastry while admiring the vaults that housed stockpiles for soldiers and was even a monastery for some time. Six rooms are spread throughout and the dungeon atmosphere will make for great conversation and photo opportunities.

  • Situated along the seaside of West Helsinki, Cafe Torpanranta is the perfect place for a bite. Organic and vegan options are available, with views of the water. It’s ideal for relaxing and recharging while also snapping those stunning views.

  • Rosenkafeet (closed November to February)
