Most Photogenic Cafés in Scandinavia

Angst Bar, Oslo | FTLO Travel | Group Trips for Young Professionals

This year, FTLO is headed to Scandinavia and we can't wait to indulge the local coffee scene. Here are some of our favorite spots, recommended for all coffee lovers, art admirers, and anyone who is looking for a unique place to hang out in.

Oslo

  • Cozy and eclectic, this bar and cafe is covered in colorful wall art and decorations. Whether you’re popping in for a beer or a latte, Angst is hardly moody and dark as it sounds. Snuggled between buildings and set away from the main streets, it’s the perfect find to capture that artsy pic.

  • Torggata 11, 0181, Oslo, Norway

  • If you appreciate good coffee and vinyl, this is the spot. Art, music and an homage to Jimi Hendrix himself, it’s a great spot to capture a Kodak moment while you peruse the old vinyl and sip on a nitro brew. It’s also been combined with the PS:Hotell, so it’s also a perfect overnight spot.

  • Vulkan 20, 0178, Oslo, Norway

Trømso

  • Thoughtfully crafted coffee pours will give you the perfect coffee photo for the Instagram. Document as the barista pros conduct pour overs and design every cup, made uniquely for you. They work with you to find the perfect blend, flavor and feel, using beans from continents all over the world. And the best part? They have the most amazing and creative latte art!

  • Strandgata 32, 9008 Tromsø, Norway

Copenhagen

  • By day, it’s a cafe with farm to table choices, fish dishes and natural wines, all enjoyable on the docks surrounded by boats and the beautiful waters of Denmark. Catch the sunset in the afternoon or come by for dinner for that perfect nighttime evening pic and enjoy the onsite sauna while you’re there.

  • Refshalevej 141A,1432, Copenhagen, Denmark

  • At Cafe Norden, it’s the food itself that is photo-worthy. Intricate and delicately plated designs will make it hard not to eat the expertly crafted dishes before you. Every ingredient is carefully chosen with sustainability...from breakfast to hot dishes and desserts. At the center of Copenhagen, order plenty and watch the hustle and bustle of the busy city go by.

  • Østergade 61, 1100 København, Denmark

Stockholm

  • If flora and nature are your aesthetic, Rosendals Tradgard garden will be a dream. Surrounded by the amazing gardens, support the farm to fork concept at the greenhouse cafe or artisanal bakery where much of the food is picked directly on the grounds.

  • Stiftelsen Rosendals Trädgård, Rosendalsterrassen 12, 115 21, Stockholm, Sweden

  • Step into history in the vaults and prison cells of this underground cafe, which dates back to the 1300s. Get a traditional meal or a pastry while admiring the vaults that housed stockpiles for soldiers and was even a monastery for some time. Six rooms are spread throughout and the dungeon atmosphere will make for great conversation and photo opportunities.
