Welcome to Vietnam!
9 Days / 8 Nights
Starting At $2,799
Up To 16
Our small group trip to Vietnam caters to travelers in their 20s and 30s looking for picturesque old town architecture in Hoi An, soaring limestone landscapes in Ha Long Bay, and energetic streets full of history, motorbikes, and delicious cuisine in Hanoi.
We'll kick things off in Hoi An beneath brightly colored lanterns that hang between 400-year-old yellow stucco homes and shops — an ideal place to immerse in Vietnam's ancient culture. From there, we'll head to more remote parts of the country, Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay, for local adventure and our first glimpse of Vietnam's iconic towering jungle landscapes. Eventually, we'll wind up in Hanoi, the bustling capital full of culture, fantastic food, chaotic streets, and hundreds of boutique shops (perfect for souvenir shopping!).
With adventurous local excursions and some of the world's best cuisine, the Vietnam trip is a uniquely moving and culturally immersive bucket list experience!

What’s the vibe of this trip?
+
-
You’ll travel with a friendly group that’s up for a mix of city culture, countryside scenery, and authentic local experiences. From bustling street food scenes to peaceful village paths, expect good conversation, flavorful meals, and a relaxed yet curious energy throughout.
What’s the pace of the itinerary?
+
-
The pace balances activity and leisure. You’ll have full days visiting highlights like temples, river cruises, and cooking classes—balanced with time to wander markets, sip coffee by the water, or rest between adventures.
What are the accommodations like?
+
-
We stay in a variety of cozy hotels and guesthouses that are clean, comfortable, and well-located – whether that’s so you can walk to a night market in Hanoi or enjoy a scenic view in Hoi An. Each place is chosen to reflect the local character and help you recharge between days.
I have dietary restrictions. Will there be options for me?
+
-
Yes, just tell us after you book. Vietnamese cuisine is naturally fresh and varied, with many veggie, vegan, and gluten-free options however the use of nut oils are prevalent. In more rural spots, plant-based or allergen-friendly dishes may be more limited, so bringing a few backup snacks is a smart idea.
When’s the best time to go to Vietnam?
+
-
We run this trip during the drier and cooler months that bring pleasant temperatures, fewer rain showers, and ideal conditions for both northern highlands and southern beaches.
Do I need a visa?
+
-
Yes, most passport holders (including US and Canadian) need to apply for a Vietnam e-visa before arrival. The cost is typically around $65 USD, depending on how you apply. You’ll need a passport-style photo, a scan of your passport’s data page, and basic personal info.
We recommend using the official Vietnamese government site and applying at least 3 weeks in advance to allow time for processing. For the most updated information, please check a reputable source.
When should I arrive and depart, and how do I get to the hotel?
+
-
Our welcome dinner is on Day 1, so plan to arrive at Hoi An by 2 PM local time to give yourself time to get to the hotel and settle in. Grab rides and reliable taxis are easy to book from the airport.
The trip ends on Day 9 in Hanoi, and you're welcome to depart anytime that day. For airport transfers, you can use Grab, take a licensed taxi, or call your hotel in advance to confirm pricing and arrange a safe pickup.
What should I pack for Vietnam?
+
-
Vietnam’s weather can vary with cities and altitude. Pack light layers, breathable fabrics, and comfortable shoes for walking. Bring sun protection, insect repellent, and a light rain jacket – the weather can shift, especially in the north and during rainy season.
How much should I budget for meals and extras?
+
-
We recommend planning for around $100 USD for meals and personal expenses not included in the itinerary. Based on your personal consumption habits, that should cover street food feasts, iced coffee breaks, and souvenirs in markets – plus a few splurges like upscale dinners or spa treatments.
