What’s the vibe of this trip?
+
-
This trip is all about colorful energy, local connection, and off-the-beaten-path exploration. Expect floating markets, golden temples, and beach sunsets – with a group that’s curious, upbeat, and always ready for the next adventure. It’s a great fit if you love rich culture, flavorful food, and active days with room to recharge.
What’s the pace of the itinerary?
+
-
The itinerary is lively, especially in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, where you'll be temple-hopping, market-wandering, and diving into Thai street food scenes. Things slow down once you reach Krabi for beach time and longtail boat rides. There's a nice balance of structured group activities and relaxed downtime.
What are the accommodations like?
+
-
We stay in a mix of boutique hotels and locally run guesthouses – clean, comfortable, and well-located in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Krabi. Each one offers a good spot to rest, refresh, and hang out with your new travel crew.
I have dietary restrictions. Will there be options for me?
+
-
Yes! Thai cuisine has lots of veggie and gluten-free options, and many dishes can be made to suit dietary needs. Let us know your preferences after booking so your guide can help when dining out. Vegan travelers may want to bring snacks, especially for rural or beach areas.
When’s the best time to go to Thailand?
+
-
We run this trip during Thailand’s dry season (November to March) to catch cooler temps and minimal rainfall. Expect warm, sunny days that are perfect for temple visits, boat rides, and beach lounging – without the intensity of peak summer heat or monsoon season.
When should I arrive and depart, and how do I get to the hotel?
+
-
Our welcome dinner is on Day 1, so plan to arrive at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) by 1:00 PM local time. From the airport, you can take a licensed taxi or book a ride through Grab, Thailand’s local rideshare app – both are affordable and easy to use.
The trip ends on Day 8 in Krabi, and you’re free to fly out after 3:00 PM from Krabi International Airport (KBV). Airport taxis and pre-arranged shuttles are both reliable options. Both airports are modern, efficient, and traveler-friendly.
What should I pack for Thailand?
+
-
Bring breathable clothes for tropical temps, a light rain jacket, comfortable sandals or walking shoes, and swimwear. You’ll want sunscreen, bug spray, a modest outfit for temple visits (like a scarf or long pants), and athletic wear for hiking and active excursions like the elephant sanctuary and island-hopping.
How much should I budget for meals and extras?
+
-
Thailand is a street food paradise, so you can eat incredibly well on a modest budget. A plate of noodles or curry might cost just a few dollars, with plenty of options to splurge on drinks or upscale meals if you'd like.
We recommending planning to spend around $100 USD, depending on your personal consumption habits.
