Home to fluffy pancakes, iconic windmills, and fields of vibrant tulips—there’s a reason the Netherlands is a favorite for so many travelers. On this small group tour to Amsterdam, you’ll be exploring alongside other solo travelers in their 20s and 30s, diving headfirst into the city's rich culture. Think: the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of Dutch cheeses, the satisfying crunch of fresh stroopwafels, and the scent of canal-side blooms as you cycle through the city.
With its UNESCO-listed canals, world-class museums (hello, Van Gogh), and a laid-back vibe, it's the perfect place to shake off the jet lag, meet new travel buddies, and ease into your European adventure. We designed this trip to be either a quick getaway or the ideal pre- or post-trip stop, because let’s be real—you’re probably flying through Amsterdam anyway. Why not take a few days to soak it all in? With its status as a major hub, snagging a direct flight from most U.S. cities is easy, making this the ultimate weekend escape before your next destination.

Let's Get Social

What’s the vibe of this trip?
+
-
This trip blends cultural discovery with social city energy. You’ll explore world-class museums, charming canals, and cool neighborhoods with a friendly group of solo travelers. Expect a mix of history, group bonding, and a good dose of local flavor.
How fast-paced is the itinerary?
+
-
The pace is active but manageable. You’ll walk a lot – through art museums, historic neighborhoods, and along canals – with time built in to relax or grab a stroopwafel in a cozy café. Most travel is local and efficient.
What are the accommodations like?
+
-
You’ll stay in a boutique-style hotel that blends historic charm with modern comfort, located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local sights. Rooms are well-designed and cozy — perfect for recharging after a day of exploring.
What’s the best time to go to Amsterdam?
+
-
Amsterdam is best enjoyed from April through September, when mild temperatures (50–70°F / 10–20°C) make it ideal for exploring outdoors.
That said, the weather can be unpredictable – sunshine one moment, a quick shower the next – so pack layers and a light rain jacket to stay comfortable.
What should I pack?
+
-
Amsterdam’s weather can be cool and rainy, even in spring and summer. Bring layers, a waterproof jacket or umbrella, and comfortable walking shoes for exploring the city. A light sweater comes in handy for cooler evenings, and you’ll want a stylish outfit or two for dinners or going out.
When should I arrive and depart, and how do I get to the hotel?
+
-
Plan to arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) by 1:00 PM local time on Day 1 so you have time to get to the hotel and settle in before our welcome dinner. To reach the hotel, you can take the train to Amsterdam Centraal (around 20 minutes), catch a licensed taxi, or use a ride share app like Uber. All are safe, efficient, and well-marked at the airport.
The trip ends on Day 4, and you’re free to depart anytime that day.
How much should I budget for meals and extras?
+
-
Amsterdam has a great mix of quick bites, cozy cafés, and trendy restaurants, so it’s easy to tailor to your style. We recommend planning to spend around $200 USD, depending on your food and drink preferences.
Can I visit the Anne Frank House during the trip?
+
-
Absolutely, but it sells out fast! We recommend booking at least 6 weeks in advance, ideally on your arrival day, departure day, or around 4:00 PM on Day 3.
To purchase tickets, visit the Anne Frank House website.
I have dietary restrictions. Will there be options for me?
+
-
Amsterdam is generally accommodating of dietary restrictions, with plenty of vegan, vegetarian-friendly and gluten-free options widely available. If you have strict dietary needs, we always recommend bringing a few snacks just in case and letting us know in advance so we can help you navigate meals along the way.
