Think of this as two very good vacations rolled into one. Start in Albania, where you’ll wander colorful Tirana, explore UNESCO-listed Berat and Gjirokastër, stay at a family-run winery, and learn to cook with local ingredients. Then cross the Ionian Sea to Corfu for a few days of Greek island life.
There’s plenty to do, but the highlights are the kind you’ll be talking about long after the trip. Spend a day on the Albanian Riviera, explore the ancient ruins of Butrint, and get out on a private boat in Corfu for swimming, sea caves, hidden beaches, and a little cliff jumping.
Along the way, you’ll share meals, wine tastings, local experiences, and plenty of laughs with a group of like-minded solo travelers. It’s a great fit if you want a trip that feels culturally rich and active, but still leaves room for long lunches, beach clubs, waterfront strolls, and a sunset dinner to wrap it all up.

Day 1 – Tirana
Welcome to Tirana
Your adventure begins in Tirana, Albania's capital. Once everyone has arrived and settled in, we’ll head out together for a walk through the city. You’ll see places like Skanderbeg Square, the Et'hem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower, and the Pyramid before getting a feel for Blloku, one of Tirana’s liveliest neighborhoods.
Then it’s time for our first group dinner together where we’ll settle in over modern Albanian cuisine, local wine, and craft beverages while getting to know the people you’ll be traveling with all week. It’s a pretty great way to kick things off.

Trip Notes
Read through helpful flight details, trip notes and details about our Albania & Corfu Trip.
Arrive
Fly into Tirana International Airport (TIA) in Tirana, Albania.
You should plan to arrive to the hotel by 3:00 PM on Day 1, though we do recommend flying in earlier to have a bit of time to get settled and explore on your own.
Depart
Fly out of Corfu International Airport (CFU) anytime on the last day of the trip.
Private Room Upgrades
Private room upgrades are available for an additional amount and can be added during booking. These are available on a first-come basis, so plan to book in advance if you are interested in your own room.
Accommodations
You’ll stay in a mix of comfortable, locally chosen hotels and a family-run vineyard estate, with a relaxed beachside base outside Corfu Town. Rooms are shared with one other traveler by default, with private room upgrades available for an additional cost and subject to availability.
Dietary Restrictions
There are plenty of fresh ingredients and naturally vegetarian-friendly dishes throughout Albania and Greece, but some group meals and local experiences may have more limited flexibility, so let us know your needs early and we’ll help you navigate menus.
Weather
Expect warm, sunny Mediterranean weather, with June and September generally a bit milder and July and August bringing the hottest days. Pack for plenty of sunshine and beach time, plus a light layer for cooler evenings and the occasional shower.
Sea & Road Conditions
This trip includes boat rides and some bumpy, winding roads, so consider bringing motion sickness medication if you’re sensitive to either.
Passport Requirements
Bring a passport with at least two blank pages, valid for three months after leaving the Schengen Zone. We recommend six months’ validity to be safe.
Itinerary Changes
Plans may shift due to weather conditions or group feedback. If an activity can’t run, we’ll offer a suitable alternative. Ferry delays can happen, so be prepared for possible changes to your travel schedule.
How much should I budget for meals and extras?
+
-
Your trip includes 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 4 dinners, so you’ll have plenty of meals covered. For everything else, we’d recommend budgeting around $50–$75 USD per day for meals not included, drinks, snacks, and incidental expenses, depending on your spending style.
Albania is generally more affordable than Corfu, while beach clubs and waterfront restaurants can run a little higher. You’ll also want to budget for anything you’d like to do during your free time, plus souvenirs and personal purchases.
I have dietary restrictions. Will there be options for me?
+
-
We’ll do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies when we have advance notice. There are plenty of fresh ingredients and naturally vegetarian-friendly dishes throughout Albania and Greece, but some group meals and local experiences may have more limited flexibility.
Please share your dietary needs with us as early as possible so we can communicate them to our local team and plan accordingly. If you have a severe allergy, we also recommend bringing any backup snacks or foods you may need.
Any recommendations if I’d like to extend my stay?
+
-
Absolutely. Corfu is an easy place to add a few extra nights, especially if you want more time for beach days, exploring Corfu Town, or simply slowing down after the trip.
If you’re craving more of Greece, you could also consider continuing to FTLO Greek Islands or FTLO Crete and let the island hopping continue. And if Albania catches you by surprise, adding extra time in Tirana or along the Albanian Riviera is another great option.
What are the accommodations like?
+
-
You’ll stay in a mix of comfortable, locally chosen hotels and a family-run vineyard estate. The trip includes 7 nights total, with stays in Tirana, the Berat area, Sarandë, and the Corfu area.
Rooms are shared with one other traveler by default, and a private room upgrade is available for an additional cost, subject to availability. The vineyard stay is more rustic and rural than the city and coastal hotels, which is part of what makes it such a fun part of the trip.
One thing to note: your Corfu accommodation is in a coastal village outside Corfu Town. It gives you a more relaxed beachside base, while we’ll still head into Corfu Town for our group experiences.
What should I pack?
+
-
Pack for warm-weather travel with a mix of city exploring, beach days, walking tours, and active experiences.
Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers
Sandals
Swimsuit and beach cover-up
Lightweight, breathable clothing
Sun protection, including sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat
A light layer for cooler evenings
A reusable water bottle
Small day bag for excursions
Any medications or personal essentials you need
You’ll want shoes you’re comfortable walking in on uneven streets and historic sites. And definitely leave some room in your bag for anything delicious or beautiful you find along the way.
When should I arrive and depart, and how do I get to the hotel?
+
-
You’ll fly into Tirana International Airport (TIA) and should plan to arrive in Tirana by the afternoon of Day 1. Airport transfers are not included, so you’ll arrange your own transportation from the airport to the hotel.
The trip ends in Corfu on the morning of Day 8. You can fly out of Corfu International Airport (CFU) anytime that day. Airport transportation is not included, so you’ll arrange your own transfer from the hotel to the airport.
If you’re flying internationally, we recommend giving yourself some extra buffer around your arrival and departure so you’re not rushing into or out of the trip.
What’s the pace of the itinerary?
+
-
This is a fast-paced itinerary, with a trip pace rating of 8/10. We cover a lot of ground because we’re combining two countries in eight days, including several historic sites, walking tours, travel days, and full-day excursions.
There are also intentional pockets of free time, especially around the beach days and evenings. You should be comfortable walking for several hours, getting in and out of transportation, spending time in the sun, and having some longer travel days.
The payoff? You get a lot of Albania and Corfu in one trip without having to plan all the logistics yourself.
What’s the vibe of this trip?
+
-
Think cultural, historical, coastal, and very Mediterranean.
You’ll spend your days moving between UNESCO-listed old towns, ancient ruins, vineyards, beaches, local restaurants, and the Ionian Sea. Some days are about learning and exploring, while others are very much about swimming, eating, drinking, and enjoying the fact that you’re on vacation.
It’s a great fit for solo travelers in their 30s who want more than a beach vacation, but still want plenty of time by the water. The group dynamic is a big part of the experience, too. You’ll have built-in people to explore with, while still getting free time to do your own thing.
What’s the weather like?
+
-
This trip runs during the warmer months when Albania and Corfu are at their best for coastal travel. Expect warm, sunny weather, lots of time outdoors, and ideal conditions for beach days and boating, though temperatures can vary depending on the month.
Summer can be hot, especially during walking tours and inland sightseeing, so sun protection, comfortable clothing, and plenty of water are important. Evenings along the coast can feel cooler, so a lightweight layer is useful.
Weather can always change, so come prepared for some flexibility, particularly on the boat day.
